8月29日，《冒险岛2》发布停服公告。由于腾讯与《冒险岛2》游戏开发商的代理协议即将到期，腾讯将于2022年11月2日11点正式停止《冒险岛2》在中国大陆地区的运营。停运具体事项安排如下：
8月29日11点，停止游戏充值和新用户注册；
11月2日11点，正式停止游戏运营，关闭游戏服务器，关闭游戏官网，用户无法登陆游戏；
11月7日11点，论坛、专属客服关闭。
