据外媒报道，索尼于6月30日提交的一份专利显示，他们正在努力使PS5兼容一些老款的PS外设。
该专利名称为“将旧代码转换为更新代码的系统和方法”，根据专利图片信息，其中可以发现一些老款的PS外设，包括PS move体感手柄、EYE TOY摄像头、PSP GO、老款手柄，还有传统读卡器等，不过其中暂未出现上代PS VR的身影。
