根据《中国人口普查年鉴-2020》，2020年，中国人平均初婚年龄涨到了28.67岁，其中，男性平均初婚年龄为29.38岁，女性为27.95岁。10年间，平均初婚年龄推后了近4岁。
目前，已经有一些地方的平均初婚年龄突破了30岁，安徽初婚平均年龄分别为男31.89岁，女30.73岁。
专家表示，受教育水平的提升、结婚成本的上涨、就业和职场竞争加大、婚姻观念变化等，是初婚年龄推迟的重要原因。
