采访嘉宾：钱明波 | RUF睿风设计 创始人、首席建筑师。

RUF 睿风设计

上海睿风建筑设计咨询有限公司成立于 2008 年 1月，是美国 RUF 设计咨询有限公司在中国的唯一分支机构，专注于高品质住宅、商业综合体、酒店、特色小镇的方案设计领域。

经过 12 年的发展，公司拥有超过 150 名建筑师，在全国60个城市落地数百个项目，涵盖高品质住宅、商业综合体、酒店、特色小镇等。睿风设计以成熟的设计体系、与时俱进的创新能力、横向整合多专业的能力、高质量的设计水准，成为万科、龙湖、融创、旭辉、阳光城、东原、首创、中南、新城、禹洲、正荣、康桥、华远、泽信、实地、建业、当代等的战略设计合作方。

【关于睿风】

上海睿风设计成立于2008年1月，总部位于上海，在北京和温哥华都有办事处。创业初期睿风是一家小企业，2010年开始承接上市公司项目，2013年开始承接Top10地产企业项目， 2015年开始做超大型项目，比如100万平米以上的小镇项目，这是比较大的几个里程碑。

RUF Architects was founded in January 2008. Our headquarter is in Shanghai, and we have offices in Beijing & Vancouver. We started out as a small business. In 2010, we started taking on projects from listed company. Since 2013, we began taking on projects from Top 10 real estate companies. In 2015, we started doing a lot of mega-projects. For example, a whole town covering over 1 million square meters, which is our few bigger milestones.

“这就是武汉人想要的房子”

国家高速发展了30年后，大家都认识到一个问题：住宅最能反映人最基本的功能、诉求、尺度，以及一些最本质的需求和内在属性。现在我们更希望能为社会充满活力，去做出自己的贡献。住宅市场相对来说越来越成熟，大家关注到中国客户的需求才是最重要的，比如说中国人喜欢阳光，喜欢热闹，喜欢有聚合感的空间。所以武汉的项目我们充分考虑到：生活在这样一个非常奔放、泼辣的城市，我们希望能够有多元化和偶发性的空间元素。最后发现客户对项目还是非常认可的，这就是武汉人想要的房子。

After 30 years of rapid national development, everyone recognizes that residences can best reflect the most basic human functions, aspirations, and scales. Some of our most essential needs and intrinsic properties, now we want to make our society exuberant. The residence market is becoming relatively more mature. People begin to realize that the top priority is to focus on the needs of Chinese customers. For example, Chinese people enjoy the sunshine and the excitement. We like spaces that feel cohesive. So, in the project in Wuhan, we are taking these into full account. Wuhan is a relatively wild, and a ‘pungent’ city. We want this project to contain a space that allows diversity and occasionalism. It turned out to be very well received by the client. ‘Ah, this is the house we want in Wuhan!’

自强不息

厚德载物

从我当时来说，选择了建筑这条路，我觉得还是挺开心的。清华的校训伴我一生：自强不息，厚德载物。自强不息这点我体会很深了，1999年我刚毕业来到上海，外企对我们的冲击非常大，当时中国设计师能够做方案的非常少。我觉得清华教给我最多的，就是务实踏实地去面对一切，面对所有的现实，在中国有限的条件下做有限的设计，但是仍然热爱这个行业。我工作了9年然后再创业的，我自认为是比较有耐心的一个人，我觉得有了一定的经验可以实施这个想法之后，才会去做这件事。当时我创业的年代，整个中国的设计行业主动意识还没有完全被唤醒，相当于大部分设计师还不能自我驱动去解决很多问题，或者说缺乏自己去创造策略的意识。

From my point of view. I’m very glad that I’ve chose this path. Tsinghua has two characteristics, which is in its motto, ’self-discipline and social commitment’. I've learned a lot about self-discipline. In fact, when I first graduated in 1999 and came to Shanghai. The impact of foreign companies on us is enormous. There were very few Chinese architects who could make Scheme projects. I think what Tsinghua taught me the most is to be pragmatic and practical about everything. Facing all the realities, doing limited architecture under limited conditions in China. But still love this industry.

I worked for nine years before starting up my own business. I think I'm a patient man. And I would make sure that I could implement my idea with my experience. Before doing it, when I started my own company, it was a time when the whole architecture industry in China. Hasn’t gained its own initiative. Pretty much most architects still don't want to work their brains. Or to take the initiative to be self-driven to solve problems or have a sense of creating your own strategy.

所以我期盼睿风睿智的睿，希望能够带来一股比较清新的风气。成立之初，我就立下我们的原则：希望做中国最顶尖的设计公司之一。其实我刚创业的时候就碰到了金融危机，当时自己也是抱着破釜沉舟的这种心理准备，把它熬过去。

So, I think... Our company name ‘RUI’ in Chinese means smart. I hope to bring a telegraphic atmosphere into the industry. When we were founded, I laid down our principles. We want to become one of the best architecture firms in China. We came across the financial crisis when we first started out. At that time, I was prepared to sink my own boat. to get it over with.

无数次的放弃

无数次的咬牙坚持

有无数次想过放弃，第二天早上醒来之后决定还是接着干吧。2010年、2013年也都碰到行业的低谷期，我们认为每一次低谷期，恰恰就是你在崛起之前，打基础的时候，那时候要苦练内功，因为中国现在节奏很快，很少有人能够静下心来去阅读、去思考。中国有巨大的变化，至少我们在参与改变，而且能很清楚看到这个变化，这是最让我能够坚持下去的原因。我作为一个天生的摩羯座，工作狂，我工作起来基本忘了其他所有的事，所以我也特别感谢我的家人能够体谅，长期包容，对我支持。

For countless times, I wake up in the morning, after battling the idea of giving up and went back to work again. The industry was in the doldrums again from 2010 to 2013. We believe that every downturn. Is where we are going to lay down a base. When laying the foundation, it is time for us to enrich our minds. Because at the fast pace of life in China now. How many people can really calm down? To read, to think. Not many. It's fair to say that China has changed dramatically. I think at least we're a part of changing the world. And the change is obvious. This is my biggest motivation to keep on going. I was born as a Capricorn. A workaholic. I pretty much forget about everything else when I'm working. So, I'm especially grateful to my family for being so understanding for bearing with me, supporting me.

我觉得很多时候建筑师创作, 也是灵光一闪的迸发, 这种迸发它不是一个程式化的行业, 很多时候建筑师需要的知识面广度, 可能超过很多的行业。我们经常在设计中碰到两个很突出的问题, 一个时间太紧，工期要求太急；第二个成本控制超严，这是我们都要面对的现实。

I think these days. There's a popular quote from Tadao Ando. I'm neither overly gifted nor blessed with any special opportunity. I feel like what keeps me company are my colleagues.They keep on working with me. I think a lot of times when architects create. It depends on a spark.Like a flash of genius. This spark makes this industry unable to be programmed. I think most of times what architects need Is a broad knowledge base. Probably broader than a lot of industries. There are two glaring problems we often encounter. One of them is time, the deadline being too tight. The second is cost control being overly strict. It's a reality we all must face.

我们建造的城市片段，都是我们人类唯一能够在星球上，留下的人造地理。

睿风在天津做过这样一个项目，当时客户对工期要求非常赶，只有我们正常项目工期的一半左右，却又要求做出具有地标性的特色。另外就是成本控制，也是只有普通项目的一半左右，所以后来我们决定用木结构。纯木结构能够达到非常精致的施工效果，好处就是能够工厂组装，这样既满足了甲方对工期的快速要求，又把建筑和室内设计的大部分的效果做出来。最终这个项目建成，我自己是比较满意的，回过头来，反而应该感谢这种不近人情的要求，如果没有这种要求，可能激发不出这样的创造，我们的建筑物和我们建造的城市片段，都是我们人类唯一能够在星球上，留下的人造地理。

We once did a project in Tianjin. The client gave us a very tight deadline. About half the duration of our normal project. And then they asked for something very landmark and very sensual. Then the second is cost control. It's also about half the amount of a typical project. So, we decided to go with a wood structure. It was entirely made of wood and it can achieve a very sophisticated effect.

The advantage of wood structure is that it can be factory assembled. This will enable us to meet our tight deadline. Wood structure can also sculpt the interior design of the building. Most of the effects have been made. The project is now complete. I'm quite satisfied with it. To look back, instead, we should be grateful for this unkind request. Without such a request, we probably can't achieve a spark like this. Maybe our buildings and the pieces of the cities we build are the only artificial geography which could left behind on this planet.

灵感迸发

/成都天府万科城/

那是一个典型的远郊项目，距离成都大概50公里以上。成都这个城市是一个典型的山地盆地城市，那个项目其实说实话应该叫，山不甚高，水不甚深，怎样让一些比较平庸的山景变得不一样？所以我们像勘测队一样，钻在树林里去看每一块土地，发现里面有几个很小的农民做的鱼塘，当时给我的灵感是：这个地方其实蓄水难度很小，不用花什么造价就可以把水蓄起来。最后我们完全没有做任何河床的改造、没有破坏微气候和自然资源，以及极其微小的代价形成高山平湖的地理特色。这是在造价工期和技术条件各方面逼迫之下，激发出来的很鲜活案例。

When we did the Chengdu Tianfu Vanke City,it was a typical far out project. It's about 50 kilometers from Chengdu city. The city of Chengdu is a typical city of Mountain Basin. Our project is based on something like the mountain is not very high, and the water is not very deep. How can we make some of the mediocre mountain view to look more different? So, we like a survey team. Just get in the woods and look. Look at every piece of land. We found some very small fishponds made by farmers. The inspiration for me was It is quite easy to store water in this area It doesn't cost anything to store water. And then that way we can create Geographical characteristics of high mountains and calm lakes. The result is, we paid an extremely small price. We didn't do any riverbed modification at all. Neither did we destroy microclimate nor natural resources. The pressure of cost, schedule, or technical conditions, which can inspire very vivid cases.
