任天堂宣布花费50亿日元，在本社边上收购了一块10028.55平米的市属土地。计划会在上面建造“任天堂 本社第二開発棟（仮称）”，预计2027年12月完工。
本次计划建造的是12层约72m高的任天堂本社第二开发中心，目的是强化研究开发能力。
