京领2022中国国际学校创新竞争力百强榜 · 北京

2022年1月18日，正式发布，今年是京领连续第四年发布中国国际学校系列榜单，旨在发掘一批办学上具有创新性的中国国际学校，促进中国国际学校办学理念的不断升级，推动国际化创新性人才培养。

9位来自哈佛大学、耶鲁大学、哥伦比亚大学、宾夕法尼亚大学、康奈尔大学等美国常青藤盟校、英国牛津大学、剑桥大学、美国麻省理工学院的终身正教授、院士对本年度京领榜单的发布进行致辞；

教授们表达了对京领以及京领国际学校榜单的价值、专业性和创新性的认可，并对上榜学校表示了祝贺。指出：京领国际学校榜单有利于帮助海外知名大学和学者更加了解中国国际学校。

位列北京市上榜学校前三的国际学校分别为：北京京西学校、北京德威英国国际学校、北京哈罗英国学校，三所学校均获“5A”评级。

北京京西学校

北京京西学校是为满足日益增多的在京工作的外籍人士子女受教育的需要而创建的一所国际学校，为广大的国际人士接受中国文化提供了一个良好的环境。2008年北京奥运会期间，京西学校被北京市、教育部以及北京奥组委评为“北京2008奥林匹克示范学校”之一。

京西有一位在红旗下长大，扎根中国搞教育的创始人——柯马凯（Michael Crook）。基于“中国特色和多元融合”的创新型办学理念，柯马凯亲自设计、亲笔题写了京西校徽，采用传统印章的形式，以简化的篆体书写校名。特别之处在于，这枚印章的四角印记并非完全闭合，而是右上角开放并发散出五颜六色的碎片，象征着在京西，文化的多元、开放与包容。

多元融合、开放包容

京西学校的核心文化是多元化，这里是一个多元的开放环境，面对不同种族和国家的文化，京西始终保持着和而不同、不偏不倚的态度。正如其所强调的“工合精神”，是团结合作、勇敢开拓的象征。因此，多元融合、包容开放才是京西学校的特色。

京西重视与东道国的文化联系却并非偏重于中国文化，融合与多元始终是京西强调的重点。京西鼓励海外学生在完成作业的时候融入自己国家的元素，通过海外学生在学习中将自己的本国文化与中国文化的争彩对比，建立联系，从而更加深刻的认识到多元化的意义与价值。

北京德威英国国际学校

北京德威在英式传统的基础上建立了经得起时间考验的国际教育体系。作为德威国际教育集团大家庭成员学校，北京德威延续伦敦创始校德威公学四百年历史传承。学校严谨的学术课程与丰富的课后项目相辅相成，提供一切机会和可能性来推进学生的全面均衡发展并取得卓越成就。

特色的学院制度

On January 18th 2022, the was officially released by KingLead. This is the 4th year that KingLead has released China International Schools Ranking Series. It aims to discover a number of innovative international schools in China, which will promote the continuous upgrading of these international schools’ educational philosophy and the cultivation of international innovative talents.

KingLead invited9 full professors and academiciansto deliver speeches on the release of this year's ranking. These scholars are from Ivy League schools including Harvard University, Yale University, Columbia University, University of Pennsylvania, Cornell University, and MIT in the U.S., as well as professors from University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge in the UK.

The professors expressed their recognition of the value, professionalism and innovation of KingLead and the KingLead International Schools Rankings, and offered their congratulations to those listed schools. At the same time, they also helped well-known overseas universities and scholars to better understand Chinese international schools.

The assessment includes four indicators: International Certification Competitiveness,Faculty Competitiveness, Social Influence, and Expert Evaluation.

Beijing has 12 listed schools, ranking second in the country, and the top 3 schools in Beijing are the follows:Western Academy of Beijing, Dulwich College Beijing, and Harrow International School Beijing. All are rated as“5A”schools.

Western Academy of Beijing

Western Academy of Beijing (WAB) is an international school established to meet the educational needs of the increasing number of expatriate children working in Beijing, providing a good environment for the majority of international people to accept Chinese culture. During the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, WAB was awarded as one of the "Beijing 2008 Olympic Demonstration Schools" by the Beijing Municipal Government, the Ministry of Education and the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee.

Currently, there are over 1300 students at WAB from more than 50 countries. WAB is one of the 7 IB training schools worldwide and IB model school, and its accelerated infrastructure provides an important place for students and teachers to carry out a variety of learning activities. Valuing the combination of diverse international cultures and Chinese culture makes WAB a pioneer of Chinese and Western Cultural fusion in the international educational field.

Integration of Chinese and Western education

At WAB, Chinese culture is not only a subject that students need to learn, but more importantly, it exists in every corner of the campus.

Red walls and green tiles complement each other, pavilions and towers connect with each other… It makes people feel like every step is a unique scene while walking in the campus.

Chinese gardens, Chinese garden plants and Chinese classifications for architectures, such as “Pingxin Gate and Xiangyin Bridge”, all of these Chinese elements have enriched Chinese cultural deposits for the Western Academy of Beijing, the modern international school.

The founder of WAB, Michael Crook, has grown up under the Five-Starred Red Flag and has committed himself to international education in Beijing. Based on "Chinese characteristics and multi-integration", Michael Crook has designed and inscribed the school emblem of WAB in person. It is written in simplified seal characters in the form of traditional seal. In particular, the four corners of the seal are not completely closed, the upper right corner opens and emits colorful fragments, which symbolizes the diversity, openness and inclusiveness of culture in WAB.

Integration of diversity and inclusiveness

The core value of WAB is pluralism, a diverse and open environment in which people of different races and nationalities are always treated with harmony and impartiality. As WAB emphasized, the "Gung Ho" Spirit is a symbol of overcoming obstacles and working together towards common goals, and thus the integration of diversity and inclusiveness are really the characteristics of WAB.

Dulwich College Beijing

Dulwich College Beijing has built a long history of excellence in international education embedded in British traditions. As a member school of the Dulwich College International family, Dulwich College Beijing draws upon over 400 years of tradition and experience from the founding College in London. The school’s rigorous academic curriculum is complemented by a balanced program that includes a range of opportunities for students to excel.

The House System

The House system is an integral part of the College moral education system. Many international school students experience a great deal of change in their lives. As their parents move from country to country, they make new friends and adapt to different cultures and school systems. Dulwich College Beijng takes the above as the top priority, sincerely welcomes every child, tries to understand their needs, provides help for them during their study, and hopes that the children can find the warmth and security of home in Dulwich as soon as possible.

In middle school, the House System builds a sense of community within the students’ mind and helps to develop students' leadership skills. House captains and students are responsible for helping to organise House activities, which normally take the form of friendly competitions.

On arriving at Dulwich College Beijing, all students and staff are allocated to one of five houses, and they all belong to their particular house during their school years at Dulwich. The Houses are named after inspirational and accomplished people: Edward Alleyn, Sir Pelham Grenville Wodehouse, Jesse Owens, Song Ching-ling and Amy Johnson.

The Holistic education

The rigorous academic curriculum is complemented by a balanced programme that includes a range of opportunities for students to excel. Alongside academic excellence, students show passion through arts, sports and make a difference to others through ongoing service-learning projects. Dulwich wants students to have the knowledge, skills, and motivation to make a difference in the world, meanwhile development of students’ character and values are integral. Values of resilience, confidence, respect, integrity, responsibility, open-mindedness, and kindness are what the school model and expect in students, and these dispositions will enable students to navigate their world today and hold them in good stead for their future.

Harrow International School Beijing

The mission statement of the Harrow International Schools is 'Leadership for a better world', which draws on the great tradition of famous leaders emanating from Harrow School. Harrow Beijing is based on excellent teaching. The important goal of the school is to cultivate students to thrive and become world citizens with global mindset. All that harrow Beijing offers will encourage children's all-round development and enable them to grow into talented, moral and responsible citizens of the world.

Integration of tradition with modern

The values of Harrow London have guided the school throughout its 450 years of history. Values of Harrow represent what it really means to be a Harrow school. The House System

The House System that inherited from Harrow London is an integral part of school. The school is divided into six Houses: Churchil、Kong Zi、John Lyon、Curie、Ju Ching Chu and Song Qing Ling.

The House system allows close personal tutoring to become a reality, and it’s at the heart of the Harrow philosophy. Such a system develops and maintains a ‘small school’ atmosphere within a large school structure. Importantly the House system serves as an important link between school and home, one in which parents can benefit from a clear line of communication from their child’s tutor and House leader.

Culture blending

In terms of education and teaching, Harrow is based on advanced educational ideas and methods, integrating the wisdom of traditional Chinese culture, and is committed to providing world-class bilingual education to students through unique international bilingual courses and innovative learning environment. The school regularly holds activities related to Chinese traditional arts, martial arts and others so that students immersed in the charm of Chinese culture.

Harrow Beijing regards service and community as one of its core values. Guided by this sense of service, students from Harrow would go out into the community and develop deeper connections with the city of Beijing. By helping migrant children to learn English and coaching them to play football, they learn to empathize with children who grow up in different backgrounds.
