在当天的男单首轮比赛中，中国选手、世界排名第一的石宇奇与印度选手阿尤什·谢蒂打满三局。
决胜局中，石宇奇在5-16落后的情况下将比分追至15-18，又在15-20落后时连续挽救四个赛点，但最终还是不敌对手，止步首轮。三局具体比分为14-21、21-13和19-21。（总台记者 张玥）
