他是瑞典艺术家，在马蒂斯艺术学院进修过，常常跑去巴黎集美美术馆研究东方作品。鲁本斯、夏尔丹都是他喜欢的艺术家，但对他风格塑造影响最大的，是卢梭的纯真画派。
