根据中国地震台网正式测定，1月2日15时02分，云南省宁蒗县（北纬27.79度，东经100.65度）发生5.5级地震，震源深度10公里。震中距四川省凉山州盐源县城67公里，距木里县城84公里。地震发生后四川盐源、木里两县防震减灾服务中心报告：木里县依吉乡、盐源县泸沽湖镇均有震感，目前暂无人员伤亡报告。
