8月27日消息，当地媒体报道称，特斯拉已于本月早些时候向得克萨斯州公共事业委员会提交申请，该公司希望在零售市场上通过一个名为特斯拉能源风险投资公司（Tesla Energy Ventures）的新子公司向民众出售电力。该委员会将在今年11月决定是否批准特斯拉的申请。
