8月12日，美一好品牌管理公司发布讣告称，其创始人林文钦驾驶蔚来 ES8汽车并启用自动驾驶功能后，在沈海高速涵江段发生交通事故不幸逝世，终年31岁。随后蔚来官方对此事进行了回应：NOP领航辅助不是自动驾驶，后续有调查结果会向外界同步信息。该事故还在进一步调查中，我们将持续关注警方和蔚来官方的调查结果。
