红茶，英文Black tea。红茶品种以祁门红茶较为著名，红茶属于全发酵茶，是通过适宜的茶树新芽叶为原料，经过萎凋、揉捻、发酵、干燥等一系列工序制作完成。
红茶作为中国的鼻祖，世界上最早的红茶就是由中国明朝时期福建武夷山茶区的茶农所发现的，名为“正山小种”。武夷山市桐木村江氏家族是生产正山小种红茶的茶叶世家，至今已有400多年的历史。
