根据海陵区第七次全国人口普查结果，2020年11月1日零时，海陵区常住人口为577016人，净流入人口109833人。与2010年海陵区第六次全国人口普查相比，净流入人口增加60947人，增长124.67%，年平均增长8.43%。
海陵区近年来不断发力，陆续出台各类政策，优化营商环境，吸引人才集聚，城市发展活力不断增强。
