2021年2月19日，华阳种源基地人工饲养的一对朱鹮卧巢，后经工作人员确认，这对朱鹮夫妇已经产卵，这是朱鹮保护区人工饲养朱鹮的自然繁育历史上，最早的产卵记录。
朱鹮保护工作者用镜头记录了这一窝朱鹮的繁育和小朱鹮的成长。
