1976年4月11日，第一代苹果电脑Apple I发售
这台电脑由史蒂夫·沃兹尼亚克纯手工打造。模样像打字机，主板裸露在外，需要连接电视作为显示器。虽然功能有限，但Apple I作为苹果电脑的第一台原型机，具有跨时代意义。
沃兹尼亚克制作Apple I只为个人兴趣，但他的好友兼合伙人史蒂夫·乔布斯看到了更大商机。1976年4月1日，苹果公司成立。11日，Apple I上市，以每台666.66美金的价格卖出近200台。至今，只有50台左右Apple I“在世”，6台仍能使用，有极高的收藏价值。
