2021年1月13日，经延川县人民检察院审查，决定对燕某某以涉嫌故意杀人罪批准逮捕。
2020年12月30日晚，犯罪嫌疑人燕某某与马某某因琐事发生争执，燕某某持菜刀在马某某头部乱砍，致马某某当场死亡。案件发生后，延川县人民检察院第一时间介入，引导公安机关侦查取证。案件正在进一步的办理当中。
