3月23日，新京报记者从姚策妻子熊磊处获悉，错换人生28年事件当事人姚策，当日上午在北京某医院逝世。熊磊称，23日上午姚策因器官衰竭、癌细胞转移等原因抢救无效死亡。
姚策养父姚斌（化名）称，得知姚策去世，养母许敏因悲伤过度卧床不起。
