2020年11月16日，肇庆市高要区人民检察院以被告人钟耀强涉嫌挪用资金罪依法向肇庆市高要区人民法院提起公诉。
肇庆市高要区人民检察院指控：2018年11月至2019年12月期间，被告人钟耀强利用任肇庆市高要区蛟塘镇高村委会副主任、高经济联合社出纳职务上的便利，挪用村集体资金进行赌博活动，数额较大拒不退还，依法应当以挪用资金罪追究其刑事责任。
