在昨晚直播的《任天堂明星大乱斗 特别版》节目中，制作人樱井政博公开了本作的全新参战人物——来自《我的世界》的史蒂夫，他可以更换颜色为艾利克斯、僵尸、末影人。
更多有关史蒂夫的演示将于北京时间10月3日晚10点30播出，关于他的上线日期目前暂未公开。这位斗士将被收录在游戏的第二弹季票中。新季票售价216港币，包含6位斗士，6个场地和若干音乐，将于2021年内推出。
