9月30月，中国移动披露，2004年以来，中国移动累计投入超过550亿元，开展村村通工程、电信普遍服务试点项目，已经实现超过12万个自然村通电话、超过8万个行政村通宽带。
目前，中国移动在全国行政村的4G网络覆盖率已经超过98％。
来自工信部的数据显示，截止2020年8月底，我国移动电话用户为15.98亿户，普及率114.2部/百人，其中4G用户12.90亿户、移动互联网用户13.33亿户。
固网宽带接入用户4.70亿户(农村占比33.3％)，其中百兆速率以上4.14亿户。
