8月16日，2017年八百流沙冠军大将军，英国跑者Daniel Lawson（上图左）打破了跑步纵贯英国（1407公里，以铺装道路为主）的最快纪录。他用了9天21小时14分。
2018年，他的第一次尝试以失败结束。
前纪录是10天2小时。
如果你能在未来的八百流沙赛场上，打破他在2017年的最快时间纪录70小时51分，就有机会从奖金池中捞得一笔款项。
