华南植物园建于1956年，是全国最大的南亚热带植物园，与世界上60多个国家和地区的300多个植物园有学术和种子交流业务。这里众多的植物，与白云山一起，成为广州市肺的两片肺叶。除此，天河还有云从龙墓、龙母庙、景祚樊公祠等古迹。
