9月30日上午，中国国家话剧院一级演员游本昌遗体告别仪式在八宝山殡仪馆兰厅举行。9月24日凌晨1时40分，游本昌在北京逝世，享年93岁。
现场有好友回忆称，去年3月份见过游老，那时候已经很虚弱、说话喘气，但他仍然乐观顽强。“去年秋天挺过一关，没想到今年秋天还是走了。”
