必和必拓集团表示，周三发生工人意外身亡事故后，公司正在评估各项条件，研究旗下智利埃斯康迪达铜矿项目 “逐步恢复” 采矿作业。必和必拓在一份声明中称，事故发生后采矿作业暂停，但矿区内部分非采矿区域仍在降负荷开展相关工作。公司将评估人员配置、作业准备情况、风险管控措施以及监管审批要求，之后再恢复生产。
