据报道，研究机构Data Center Watch当地时间9月21日表示，今年4月至6月期间，美国约45个总价值680亿美元的数据中心项目因当地反对而遭到叫停或推迟。
目前全美多地社区正推动出台暂停建设数据中心的禁令，且往往在开发商正式申请许可前便已启动相关行动。Data Center Watch报告显示，约30个州议会已提出或通过涉及数据中心选址、电力供应及用水问题的相关规定。
