据媒体报道，通用汽车CEO玛丽·博拉在最新采访中重申，尽管美国电动汽车普及速度放缓，公司仍将电动汽车视为“终极目标”（end game）。她表示，这一转型将需要“数十年”时间，而非在某个固定的近期截止日期前完成。
博拉预计，到2030年，电动汽车将占通用汽车销量的40%至50%。但她同时确认，未来数年内通用汽车将继续生产燃油车和混合动力汽车。
