9月5日1时32分，江西省水文监测中心升级发布洪水橙色预警。受强降雨影响，预计未来13小时前后，赣江吉安市城区河段将发生超警戒2.7米左右的洪水；峡江县河段水位仍在上涨，目前超警戒0.23米；樟树市城区河段流量仍在增大，目前流量约13800立方米每秒；南昌市城区河段流量仍在增大，目前流量约12800立方米每秒。
