9月4日，特斯拉官宣Cybercab正式在美国奥斯汀投入运营。
特斯拉表示，Cybercab为无人驾驶而生，无需方向盘、踏板和后视镜，将用户从驾驶中解放，把路上的时间还给乘客。
特斯拉还称，私家车约95%的时间都处于停放状态，而Cybercab会持续行驶以更高使用效率，承担更多出行需求。
