据外媒报道，演员山姆·艾略特此前曾表示“无法忍受”《黄石》这部剧。然而，他如今已同意出演该剧的衍生剧项目。
报道指出，主创泰勒·谢里丹亲自出面沟通，最终说服了艾略特接下衍生剧。至于两人具体沟通内容，目前尚未有更多细节流出。
