美国中央司令部指挥官于8月15日结束为期10天的中东行程，此行到访六个国家，并登上部署于阿拉伯海的美国海军航空母舰。
布拉德·库珀上将先后会见巴林、伊拉克、以色列、约旦、沙特阿拉伯、阿联酋的军政高层，同时慰问驻外美军。目前有超5万名美军部署在中东地区，执行多项任务。
