杨炯（650－约695），唐代诗人。弘农华阴（今陕西华阴县）人。位列“初唐四杰”（王、杨、卢、骆）之一，却以其独特的边塞诗风和刚健骨力，在唐诗发展史上刻下了不可磨灭的印记。他的诗，一扫齐梁以来绮靡柔弱的宫体遗风，代之以慷慨激昂的壮士情怀与开阔宏大的边塞气象。那一句“宁为百夫长，胜作一书生”，至今读来仍令人热血沸腾，这是盛唐精神的先声，是中国文人“投笔从戎”豪情的最强音。

河魁为古代兵占方位（西北戌位，行军用兵吉地），同时也是星占术中的月度凶煞，诗中取军营主将驻地之意。

2. 太乙（Tài Yǐ / Tài Yī）
道家“道”之本体、天帝尊神或紫微垣中太一星；诗文里常作天道、天帝、星枢或“太乙兵”之代称。

When Han's great house drew near its final throne,

Changshan massed legions at the warlord’scommand,
Yong’an raised ramparts built of timber andsand.
Palaces and moats collapsed in sudden decay,

Foolish sovereigns like Liu Shan once held the throne,
Loyal ministers stood as their heart and backbone.
If steep natural barriers had been well maintained,
No need for Jia Yi’s grief, his mournfultears unchained.

鱼腹县，位于奉节。鱼腹，字面指鱼肚子；典出“葬身鱼腹”（《楚辞·渔父》），喻溺水而死、埋骨波涛，或兵书“鱼腹阵”之变形。
Note: Yufu refers to the ancient YufuCounty (modern Fengjie, Chongqing), a key garrison of the Three KingdomsShu-Han regime. The phrase also appears in ancient literature as a metaphor fordrowning; in military texts it may allude to the fish-battle formation.

3) 刘禅（Liú Shàn，207—271），字公嗣，小名阿斗，是三国时期蜀汉后主，即刘备与甘夫人之子、蜀汉第二代皇帝（223—263年在位）。诗文意象：常作“亡国之君”“庸主”的代称，与“乐不思蜀”绑定；偶尔也带一点“顺势保身”的复杂解读。
Note: Liu Shan (A’dou),posthumously known as the Last Ruler of Shu Han — sonof Liu Bei, who surrendered to Wei in 263 AD and later quipped “I am happy here, I do not think of Shu,”becoming the archetypal weakling sovereign in Chinese lore.
4) 贾生（Jiǎ Shēng）
即贾谊，汉文帝时天才少年大夫，遭谗贬长沙，郁郁早逝；诗文以“贾生”代指怀才不遇、忧国早凋的贤士。
Note: Jiasheng — Jia Yi, the Hanprodigy-official slandered and exiled to Changsha, dead at thirty-three; thename metonymizes a brilliant loyalist thwarted by court envy.

三峡七百里，惟言巫峡长。
重岩窅不极，叠嶂凌苍苍。
绝壁横天险，莓苔烂锦章。
入夜分明见，无风波浪狂。
