伊朗议会国家安全和外交政策委员会主席易卜拉欣·阿齐兹当地时间8月9日晚证实，伊朗议会此前提出的《确保霍尔木兹海峡安全与发展的战略行动计划》总体框架已获该委员会通过。 阿齐兹称，该计划旨在捍卫伊朗国家利益。相关总体框架在该委员会上全票通过。
