世界卫生组织8月4日表示，针对刚果（金）本迪布焦型埃博拉疫情的治疗、暴露后预防和疫苗研究正在提速。
WHO支持的治疗试验已在伊图里省3家临床中心运行，超过50名确诊患者入组；另一项研究已纳入25名以上高风险接触者，评估口服抗病毒药Obeldesivir能否预防发病。
WHO同时审查默沙东扎伊尔型埃博拉疫苗是否具交叉保护，相关建议预计近期发布。
截至8月1日，当地报告3748例病例、1657例死亡。
