8月4日下午，湖南省足球协会发布公告，将在2026湖南省足球联赛中正式启用足球视频辅助系统。
公告中称，湖南省足球协会裁判委员会将在本届联赛休赛期（8月10日—27日），组织裁判员、系统操作人员开展集中理论学习和实践考核培训，确保足球视频辅助系统顺利投入赛事使用。
