任天堂突然宣布，此前从未公开的两款游戏《Zero Racers》和《D-Hopper》将正式加入“Virtual Boy – Nintendo Classics”阵容，并于2026年8月4日通过Nintendo Switch Online会员服务上线。这两款作品来自已经停摆近30年的Virtual Boy平台，原本被外界视为早已取消的项目，如今以官方模拟形式复活，让不少老玩家和收藏者直呼意外。
同日，该经典游戏应用还将迎来一次功能更新：屏幕颜色自定义功能。玩家在游戏过程中，只需按住右摇杆并配合L/R按键，就能实时切换Virtual Boy标志性的红黑显示风格之外的多种配色方案，进一步降低长时间游玩的视觉疲劳。
