据日本气象厅介绍，自7月28日下午日本熊本县发生6.8级地震以来，截至当地时间29日上午10时，震区周边共发生震度1级以上地震171次。
日本气象厅在28日举行的记者会上表示，从地震发生后的约一周时间内，尤其是在未来2至3天期间，要警惕可能发生最大震度达到7级左右的地震。
