也门胡塞武装7月26日称，该组织在过去48小时内袭击了三艘沙特油轮，并继续针对与沙特有关联船只实施海上禁运措施。
也门胡塞武装20日宣布对沙特实施海上禁运，并警告国际航运公司称，与沙特港口开展贸易往来的船只可能面临军事打击。
据黎巴嫩迈亚丁电视台26日报道，目前共有16艘沙特船只未准通行，在曼德海峡被迫掉头。
