泰国曼谷市防灾减灾办公室当地时间13日通报称，根据对曼谷酒吧火灾的初步调查，起火原因推断为天花板上的空调设备发生电路短路。此次火灾过火面积约164平方米，相关部门正进一步调查事故具体原因。
