7月7日晚10时许，柳州市消防救援局增援贵港救援队接到李女士求助，其77岁患尿毒症的父亲因内涝无法及时透析，已全身水肿，随时有生命危险。消防员驾驶橡皮艇前往救援，因积水搁浅遂涉水步行，爬上12楼救出老人，背其蹚过积水路段，转乘橡皮艇和执勤车辆紧急送医。途中李女士紧握父亲的手，她称自己徒步三小时才找到救援人员，终于看到希望。
