当地时间7月7日，比利时国家队官方宣布，阿马杜-奥纳纳遭遇前十字韧带撕裂。
比利时国家队官方表示：“经过医学检查确认，阿马杜-奥纳纳遭遇了前十字韧带（ACL）撕裂。我们与你同在，阿马杜！”
在此前比利时对阵美国的比赛中，阿马杜-奥纳纳受伤，在比赛第21分钟被迫离场，之后有人看到他拄着拐杖，右膝戴着护具。
