北京时间6月23日，法国队公布了他们世界杯小组赛第二轮对阵伊拉克的首发名单，现年32岁的迪涅顶替特奥-埃尔南德斯首发出场。
根据Stats Foot的统计，迪涅即将迎来自己职业生涯的第二场世界杯比赛，而他第一次在世界杯出场则要追溯到2014年，两场比赛相隔12年，他也就此成为了法国国家队历史上生涯前两次世界杯出场相隔时间最长的球员。
