当地时间 6 月14日下午，伊朗国家足球队抵达美国加利福尼亚州洛杉矶市，备战将于当地时间6月15日傍晚（北京时间6月16日上午）举行的世界杯首场小组赛，其对手将是同组的新西兰队。据报道，伊朗队只能在比赛当天入境美国，并且必须在比赛结束后几个小时内离境，不能在美国境内过夜。
