湖南省交通运输厅消息，受连日来强降雨影响，截至5月21日7时30分，湖南省内普通国省道路段发生灾毁阻断20处，已抢通16处，另有4处路段正在全力抢修中；湖南省内高速公路路段发生5处滑坡，未发生阻断，可通行。
