2025年年末常住人口143.8万人，城镇人口110.3万人，乡村人口33.5万，城镇化率76.7%。
5月8日，据余杭发布消息，根据国家统计局统一部署，余杭区以2025年11月1日零时为标准时点，对抽中的77个村级样本开展了1%人口抽样调查。截至2025年末，全区常住人口为143.8万人，与2024年末常住人口142.2万人相比，增加1.6万人。
城乡构成方面，2025年年末常住人口143.8万人，城镇人口110.3万人，乡村人口33.5万，城镇化率76.7%。
