5月6日，在三星电子市值突破1万亿美元的当天，三星电子决定在中国大陆市场停止销售含电视、显示器、空调、冰箱等在内的所有家电产品。对于三星手机业务是否也会退出中国的疑问，三星方面表示手机产品正常销售。
