日本财务大臣：时机已经成熟，是时候行动了

据日本共同社报道，日本首位女性财务大臣——片山皋月周四表示，针对日元贬值走势，到了有必要采取果断行动的时候了。

受中东局势影响，日元兑美元汇率跌破160.5关口，创下2024年7月以来新低（as the currency weakened beyond the mid-160 level against the U.S. dollar to its lowest since July 2024, amid the Middle East crisis）。

当日日元一度跌至1美元兑160.72日元，片山皋月对记者称：“我此前多次提及的果断行动，时机终于日益临近。”

市场不确定性上升，美元作为避险资产持续受到买盘追捧（The U.S. currency continued to draw buying as a safer asset in times of uncertainty）。

在片山最新口头表态警告后，日元兑美元汇率走强，升至159低位区间（The yen strengthened to the lower 159 zone against the dollar following Katayama's latest verbal warning）。

日本金融市场即将进入五一黄金周长假（官方连休：4.29～5.6），至5月初休市。片山提醒记者：“假期期间也请务必随身携带手机。”（Katayama warned reporters "to hold on to your smartphones even during the holidays.”）

她此前已表示，日本当局“全天候24小时” 随时准备采取行动（She previously said the government is ready to act "24 hours a day."）。

日本上一次汇市干预是在2024年7月，当时日元兑美元逼近162关口、跌至约38年低点，日本当局合计投入5.53万亿日元（约350亿美元）护盘 。

周四，美联储最新货币政策会议宣布维持利率不变，市场对美日利差将持续走阔的预期升温，美元再度获得买盘支撑 。

中东危机推高油价，持续引发美国通胀担忧，市场对美联储降息的预期显著降温（Market expectations that the Fed will cut rates have waned as rising oil prices amid the crisis in the Middle East continue to spur inflation concerns in the world's largest economy）。

另一方面，日本央行周二决定维持关键政策利率不变，但保留未来数月加息的可能性，将视中东局势对资源匮乏的日本经济的影响而定（depending on how the Middle East situation affects the resource-scarce Japanese economy）。
