宁夏腾格里“沙戈荒”新能源基地是我国首个国家“双批复”的沙戈荒能源大基地，也是国家首条获备案的以开发沙漠光伏大基地、输送新能源为主的特高压输电通道——“宁电入湘”工程的重点配套项目。该基地总装机规模1764万千瓦，全部由国家能源集团负责建设管理，其中新能源装机1300万千瓦，占比超73%。
