Fox Sports两位NFL记者Eric Williams和Ralph Vacchiano最近搞了个"过誉/被低估新秀"清单，结果Fernando Mendoza和Ty Simpson双双上榜。这份名单是和联盟球探、总经理聊出来的，不是拍脑袋。
Simpson的争议从Dan Orlovsky那句"他可能比Mendoza强"开始发酵。一位scout跟Vacchiano的原话很直白：「"We're talking about him as a first-rounder now? That's less about him, more about the lack of other quarterbacks."」翻译一下：不是他多出色，是这届QB池子太浅。这位球探补刀说Simpson个子小、大学只首发15场，" developmental prospect不该进首轮，但肯定有人愿赌"。
Mendoza那边，Williams拿到的反馈是arm strength存疑。一位老球探吐槽他的脚步"all over the road"，RPO体系出身，深球准度不稳定，受压时更糟。好消息是短传和中距离 timing routes 还行。
讽刺的是，两人大概率还是高位被摘。Simpson已经收到选秀夜邀请函， Steelers、Jets、Browns都在传绯闻。球探们嘴上说不要，身体很诚实——或者说，GM们的身体很诚实。
