Regardingsearchengine usage, Googleremained the most widely used platformthroughout the period.Althoughits market sharedeclined slightlyfrom 36% to 31% between 2004 and 2003, itthensurgedto 53% by 2010. Yahooranked second,but followed a downward trend.Starting at28% in 2001, its number of usersfell marginally with significant fluctuations,reaching20% in 2010.

- 蓝色(Google)：从2001年的36%小幅下降到2003年的31%→随后急剧上升到2010年达到53%；用户数量一直最高

- 红色(Yahoo)：用户量排第二，但趋势相反。2001年为28%→随后小幅下降伴随波动→2010年达到20%

Theremaining three search engines attracted fewer users. Among them, Mirosoftswas used more frequently, with its figuredropping graduallyfrom 16% to 9% between 2004 and late 2007,followed bya steady increase toits initial figure in 2009.The last year saw a marginal dipby 1% in 2010.By contrast, the other two choiceswere much less favored. Ask Jeeves’s usagerose graduallyfrom 8%to a peak of11% between 2001 and 2005, after whichthere was a marked decrease with minor fluctuationsto 5% in 2010.Likewise, AOCexhibited a similar trend,fluctuating slightlybetween 7% and 10% during the same period.

- 绿色(Mirocofts)：是剩下三种中使用量相对较大的，数据从2001年的16%逐步下降到2007年末的9%→随后到2009年上升回16%→到2010年小幅下降了1%

- 其余两种使用量较低

- 蓝色(Ask Jeeves)：从2001年的8%逐步上升到2005年的11%→随后伴随轻微波动 显著下降到2010年达到5%

- 黄色(AOC)：和Ask Jeeves趋势类似，2001年到2008年用户量在7%到10%之间轻微波动
