中国航空新闻网讯：据外媒4月2日报道，全球作战空中计划 (GCAP) 已授予Edgewing公司6.86亿英镑首份联合合同，由其牵头为英国、意大利和日本设计第六代战斗机，有效期至2026年6月30日。Edgewing公司将负责GCAP的关键设计和工程工作，其目标是加快为三个伙伴国交付战斗机。
Edgewing公司于2025年6月正式成立，是一家总部位于英国的合资企业，由BAE系统公司、莱昂纳多公司和日本航空产业振兴株式会社（JAIEC）各持股33.3%，专为GCAP项目而设。
